HE.net Fremont site unreachable from almost everywhere, June 28

Starting at 12:10pm PDT and still going as of 13:50 PDT...
We can't reach EGIHosting and other sites there... HE.NET has confirmed it saying "This is a known issue with one of our peers, Telia.".
Why the heck can't the route over some other link? over 90 minutes of down time.
We can't reach from Phoenix Arizona, Denver, London, etc.

Now 3 hours down... and we actually logged problems at HE.net starting at 11:20am PDT - there was serious packet loss... so the problem is 3 hours and 40 minutes....

Looks like they were have telia routing issues again (called and was told there was a telia hardware failure).
EDIT: Maybe this was unrelated? I still have the telia routing issue (everything through telia is like 500+ms latency).
