Interesting requirement, what's the need for such proximity? Do you have a test IP in the facility you need to be in? Are you looking for certain network performance criteria?

I'm guessing for best latency, but be sure to test IPs as JSCL recommended.

Are you looking for a managed dedicated server with any control panel like cPanel or directadmin on it, or an unamnaged server. Your Budget seems to be fine for this configuration.

1) I want small and stable ping for forex trading. 2) I test broker server with ip 170.75.200.14:443 TCP (i test via "Sysinternals PsPing v2.01" and "Eli Fulkerson tcping.exe") 3) network performance criteria: small and stable ping.

Yes, for best latency for forex trading. I don't know "test IPs as JSCL recommended". Can you give me a link to the study?

Legitimate use and needs, refreshing around here these days! To give you a steer, I just did some network tests from two facilities you mentioned. One showed up ~2ms and the other ~0.7ms to the IP you provided. Shopping the NYC market can be difficult because there can be big differences in results by provider and their network, not just the facility. Be careful of providers promoting NY who are actually in New Jersey or somewhere on the outskirts of the state rather than NYC. Your budget is where it needs to be, bearing in mind that prices in NYC tend to be a little bit higher. I don't think you'll have any problems finding what you need.

Thanks JSCL))). This is very useful information for me. ~0.7ms is NY5 ~2ms is NY2 correct?

Spot on. Also, one you should consider, not an Equinix facility. Testing from Telehouse at 85, 10th produced a ~0.7ms result too.

How you tested ping?

Use ping ip or domain from your computer.

Perhaps check with M247

Latency to that IP is not very stable, ive been running a MTR against it for a while from a server in NYC and ive seen 0.5 to 7ms. Do you know what physical building they are in ? However I was looking at my routing table, anything connected to NYI.net or atlanticmetro.com would have good routing as they are peered with the network providing connectivity to 170.75.200.14 .

My pings from NYI's network are 1-10ms.
