Any Dedicated Servers like Hetzner in India?

Posted by cloud7, 09-26-2016, 12:29 PM
Am looking for a particular project for dedicated servers in India with features and quality and prices like Hetzner dedicated (the auction site prices though), incl extendable IP ranges. Any suggestions very welcome, ideally payable with net banking. Last edited by cloud7; 09-26-2016 at 12:32 PM.

Wow, had no idea the Indian market is like this!

Sorry, but I think you'll find it very difficult to get Hetzner auction like pricing in India. What's a realistic budget for your project?

Happy to pay reasonably more if good quality and if payable by net banking, e.g. if this Intel Xeon E3-1271V3 10140 32 GB 2 x 240 GB DC SSD ECC iNIC € 38.66 would be €50 and could add $1/IPv4 x 32, say total €75, that would be good. Or what price can one expect for this in India?

how much traffic do you need?

At least 100mbps, better 300mbps (or ideally 1Gbps), continuously.

Bluehost actually offers dedicated servers in India! The prices aren't half bad: http://www.bluehost.in/dedicated-servers.php

No, their pricing is not bad, but they are an EIG brand, so you need to take that into consideration if you're looking for support without headaches.

Are locals forced to buy local? I cannot see how BlueHost India Dedicated could otherwise survive. The price is over 5x that of a more or less similar Hetzner, I am surprised!

bandwidth is costly in India, You won;t find anything cheaper

Not going to happen. Hetzner, OVH et al - they are brands that operate in Europe, they're dirt cheap and you get what you pay for. The thing with transit in Europe is that it's very well matured and most countries in Europe have developed well in terms of networking. In India, the country is so far spread out and the main focus on lack of investment has been domestically, the cost of international bandwidth out of India isn't *as* cheap as it is in Europe. It's not as crazy expensive as people think or as it used to be, but it's not as cheap as you can buy elsewhere. The reality is, that you are never going to find what you need for that price point in India. You're talking in the hundreds of euro's for continuous bandwidth at those levels on a dedicated server.

Your budget may not be enough if you are looking at India or any Asia location.

What's bad about them? Or, how are others much better? To ALL that replied: Many thanks for all this specific as well as background info, I've learned re this question again so much from you!

bro indian dedicated started $70 and above and according your requirement you need to pay $500+ and 100mbps bandwidth cost is high if you want 100 mbps bandwidth than also need to increase your budget more than 800. Calculate price 10 mbps lease line cost minimum and average service $100 or 12000

You can't expect low price from India. India's bandwidth is really expensive.

Datacenters in India cannot compete to the penetrative pricing of Hetzner. If they do, they are definitely going to close down very soon. The reason for this is, bandwidth costs + infrastructure cost is high in India, this does not allow the DCs to have penetrative pricing strategy to attract customers. Hence, the answer is NO.

The Indian web hosting industry is evolving. Presently the price of infrastructure and bandwidth is comparatively better then what it was couple of years ago. The cost would gradually reduce over the period of time. Just the IP would cost you between $2 - $4 a month. The budget you mentioned above is not suitable for a dedicated server in India. What do you wish to run from the server? Why you need 32 IPs?

for your needs you probably would pay around double of hetzner there are some providers out there who may just be able to help depending on your usage. What use is this for?
