With that amount of ram, why not get a dedicated server?

do you have any ? with windows ?? thank you

You will need to contact the providers individually. Many will be able to assist and most would provide a custom plan for your requirements as long as you are willing to pay a reasonable amount.

8+ Cores in a VPS & 8G RAM with Windows is going to be tough in your budget of $40-$60/m. You will either need to increase your budget or lower your requirements or be ready for getting a sub-standard service. I'll agree to consider looking for dedicated servers but you may be limited by your budget anyhow as Windows license is involved here.

I agree that your budget is low for your requirements is better to contact directly some providers. The dedicated server as mentioned above is a solution but of course you are loosing high availability... if it is not important for you then the dedicated server could be a solution in your money.

OVH & Contabo seem to be the only ones which fall with your budget & offer specs close to what you need with Windows licence included as well. Last edited by Shoaib_A; 01-26-2016 at 04:57 PM.

Budget wise you should be good. 8GB could go either way in terms of VPS or dedicated. You’ll probably get a better VPS for $40/mo with Windows than you would a dedicated server. As others have said, check out the offers section, plenty of deals to fit your need. . . .

how do you plan to use those 8 cores of CPU? if you plan intensive usage, get dedicated server instead or VPS that clearly advertises dedicated CPU cores.

Add a bit more money to that and just get a Dedicated server would be my thoughts

With such low budget you can only receive VPS on oversold node with poor performance, its always better to increase budget and purchase VPS from reputed hosting company

Seems that your budget is too low. You might find offers like this in Asia.

At the OP, what location are you interested in? Is it important for you?

It really depends on what you're going to need the VPS for. As suggested your better bet may be a dedicated server. The RAM shouldn't be an issue although you may have to request a custom plan depending on the provider.

Kimsufi could probably meet your requirements depending on desired location

I think you are better to go to dedicated server route, no need to worry about getting suspended for high resource usage.

I agree that your budget is low for your requirements only Win 2012 licence is going to be $20/mo for I guess around $80/mo will be easy to find using SSD and 4 core only.

Hi. For that budget you are able to get self-managed dedicated server with some hosting providers, so why look for VPS?

Posted by softcode, 02-03-2016, 01:22 PM
I think that you budget is low. You will increase budget much more, you will get better vps. Few days ago I brought a VPS for my around $90 it better than my which i used before.

Posted by EastWestHost, 02-03-2016, 01:25 PM
softcode: why would you ever buy unmanaged VPS for that budget, when you can get unmanaged dedicated server? Quite decent one, actually.

It's unneeded to say 10 times that OP his budget is too low. We got that... @OP is there a specific location you're looking into? As this you should also consider with your budget. US might be a bit cheaper compared to EU. You also have to consider the Windows license costs and if you want the server to be managed then the management costs as well, or at least the VPS will be a bit more high end priced. What you could look into is: - Hetzner - OVH Basically the two who might be able to offer something in your price range. Keep in mind that those servers are UNMANAGED. Good luck.

What I would recommend is to grab your own Windows License and grab a server with Herzner or OVH as they both would fit under your budget and the license would be one time investment for you as you can always take that license and go to any other provider if you want decide to move i the future.

He can find offers like that in the US or Europe but not in Asia (or Africa or South America) where prices tend to be much higher due to much higher bandwidth costs and infrastructure costs. ...and hope Microsoft doesn't find out about the use of unlicensed Windows templates. /S

Just curious, but how do we know that they are unlicensed templates?

Not sure about VPS as I have not tried one yet. I've started with reseller hosting because it is more easy to start with it instead of vps or dedicated server. But I have found many good reviews about KnownHost, but their prices are high. But I think high prices will result more satisfaction and quality service. I will upgrade my website after few months to vps.
