Best reseller hosting in India?

Posted by onymguy, 05-13-2014, 04:11 PM
Please let me know the best reseller hosting/VPS hosting in india and share you good/bad personal experience. I am having BIG ROCK reseller account, i am not bit satisfied with the performance, facing high cpu and speed issues with wordpress website and few plugins, such as wordfence, w3totalcache, and yoast SEO. Bigrock says, wordpress is cpu intensive, go for VPS. In my site, Daily visitors are less than 50, It is nothing to do with traffic. It looks like Simple wordpress installation can not run in any shared hosting environment, Is VPS only option for wordpress? I am paying Rs 1200 per month for reseller account, which approximately $20 per month. Please suggest me good reseller hosting or VPS in the price range of $20 to $25 per month. I need phone support, any recommendation from indian hosting companies, would be highly appreciated.

Yes, I am looking for india based companies, mainly for phone based technical support for quickly solving the issue. I asked multiple questions - Share your personal experience with india based hosting companies - About bigrock india - Best reseller hosting companies in India in the price range of $20 to $25. - Can't we host Wordpress in shared/reseller hosting? Is the VPS only option? anybody is running wordpress sites in shared/reseller hosting?

Hostdime support is very fast and uptime of their servers are good. They have Chat and Phone support, too. I fix my most problems on their Chat quickly. I have Reseller Hostings on their different data centers. They have a data center on India, too. Look at Hostdime.in

You don't really need a VPS for your requirements. Wordpress runs pretty smoothly on shared hosting accounts. Big rock seems to have been facing a few issues recently, saw a lot of customers moving away from them. As for Indian vs foreign companies, what matters most is support. It is nice to call a local mobile and talk to a familiar person, so I suggest going with a local company only.

Hahaha you are right net.

Actually you don't want to buy a VPS for a Simple site. If you are looking for a Indian based provider reseller club is a good option.

Resellerclub is the same company as Bigrock. Recently Wp-Engine banned WordFence plugin on their servers. @OP have you tried disabling that plugin ? Do you see resource usage in cPanel ? Also, try hosting Wordpress on Pure SSD based servers, you will notice a huge difference in performance and load will be lower.

I just deleted some pointless posts. onymguy is looking for hosting based in India. Just because you don't have a server in India, does not mean he should be looking for hosting where you have a server.

Thank you all. I have just checked with hostdime, they offer 200GB for ~$20, In my current plan, BigRock offers 50GB for the same amount. It looks like an better option, when i had a chat with them, they told me the same story like what big rock told me, uptime guarantee, less overloaded servers etc. I can not just go with what that executive told me, I am expecting your honest reviews about hostdime, please share ur views.

onymguy, Each person will have different views regarding a hosting provider. For a provider as large as HostDime , you will notice conflicting views. You will need to search for reviews online including webhostingalk , and make a decision.

Thanks, i had a chat with them. Could you please any good/bad experience? If any high cpu issues, will they suspend site without notice like hostgator, In that aspect, bigrock is good, They kills the SQL queries which takes more cpu, atleast we have time to fix the issues.

if you talk to any hosting companies sales, they will provide all pros only, BTW, where can i find such reviews? any dedicated forum is available here for hostdime alone?

We have many reseller hostings on Hostdime and Surpasshosting(a sub-company of Hostdime) servers for about 8 years. So we was many experiences with them. The servers work very stable mostly. Sometimes can be a short-term problems but most of them fix quickly without your notify. Most of our accounts on their old hardware servers. Their new servers have SSD support and have more CPU and RAM. So they more faster than old ones. Some of their server resource usage limits per domain are below: %10 RAM %20 CPU 15 MySQL user connection 350/hour sending email... If any resold account reach these limits when they send you an alert with detailed report and ask reduce the use. If the reason of this a hack when they remove(or disable) maliclous content/files and/or change passwords for you. And tell you what to do to solve the problem. But they don't suspend your reseller account because of a resold account like Hostgator. Hostdime support is too faster than Bigrock and various. Also Hostdime services are fully managed. They help you for most things like to solve a problem on your scripts or making custom modifications(like creating php.ini. But Bigrock does not do this).

onymguy, Thank you so much for considering HostDime and reaching out to our team! All of our India-based reseller servers are run on the latest 2x E5-2620 CPUs, at least 16GB RAM, RAID10 Enterprise SATAIII drives, local backups, and cPanel/WHM. You're right that most hosts will only promote the benefits of their services but in searching for HostDime India here in WHT you will find a multitude of reviews. Keep in mind, when making a decision for any host (not just us) what level of network is being offered as well as what level of support is offered. We have issues just like any other host on the market. I think the difference is the way those issues are handled and corrected when they do arise, as well as the transparency offered in regards to those issues. Thanks, once again, for considering HostDime and I'd be happy to answer any other questions that anybody may have. Thanks for the recommendation, dhcart! Is the usage limit per domain or per cpanel account? I mean, if you host multiple domains in shared hosting(instead of reseller hosting), that limit is per each domain hosted in the same shared hosting account?

Posted by onymguy, 05-16-2014, 09:57 AM
the resource usage limit is per domain or cpanel account? I beleive Multiple domains in a shared hosting account together shares the usage limit. right?

Posted by DimeNOC Marcos, 05-16-2014, 10:01 AM
The RAP limits you mentioned are per domain. For example- domain.com and sub.domain.com would be calculated together as one. An addon domain in the cPanel account would, however, be calculated separately. Hope this helps.

To get more clarity, I will give my scenario clearly. I have 5 domains, each hosted in separate cpanel accounts, which are part of my reseller account. The above was suggested by bigrock, Since the Resource usage limit is per cpanel account, If i host all 5 domains in a single shared hosting account, (one primary domain and remaining four as add-on domains), will easily cross the resource usage limit. Here, All 5 domains shares the same resource usage limits. that's why i choose the reseller hosting, in that, i can host each domain in its own environment, and each will have its own resource usage limit. If your statement is true, then i can go with shared hosting itself. Since each addon domain will have its own resource usage limit. Is my understanding correct?

I'd advise to isolate accounts in their own cPanel account, however, you're free to do what you feel is best. The advice that the other provider gave you is pretty solid, in my opinion- if I was in your shoes, I'd keep each account in its own cPanel account.

Posted by domaincart, 05-16-2014, 10:39 AM
Yes, the limits are per resold accounts(so per domain name that you created hosting package for).

Posted by onymguy, 05-16-2014, 10:59 AM
What about your below quoted message, If below is true, then i guess, i can go with one shared hosting account. Can you share hostdime links which talks about this RAP calcuation with respect to add-on domain.

Posted by DimeNOC Marcos, 05-16-2014, 11:37 AM
Here is a link to the RAP: http://www.hostdime.in/support/legal...use-policy.php One of the tools used to calculate resource usage is dcpumonview which displays usage per domain, not per cPanel account.
