You should know whether your management company is trustworthy, don't just go around handing off your root password to anyone

The level of expertise between the support team and server management team will be different. Support team will be mainly focusing on your support tickets and quite a bit of management. But server management team should be very professional and skillfull to handle level-3 sort of issues on both DA and cpanel.

A management team should be skillful and professional on handling servers and control panel. A support team mainly doing service on tickets, online chats and asking phonecalls. So that should be more patient, easy to communicate and of course, they need to know how to solve some common issues.

For a management team i guess you just need to make sure your servers are monitored and managed by experienced administrators who can quickly fix issues around the server. So If you can get Two-in-One kind of support team that will be great but i guess you might have to pay more since they will be doing all the stuff including server management.

1. Whether the company has stayed for quite a bit long in the industry 2. Whether they have the skills 3. Whether they have effective systems in place for providing the support 4. Pricing 5. Reviews Also try to get some kind of trial from them to test the effectiveness of service provided.

Reviews & trial period would be a perfect solution to judge their work.

Server management team can handle the maintenance of the server about the security, load management, checking disk space usage etc. And the support team can handle the technical tickets issue and chat request.

You need to know what is included in the service. There can be a big difference between different companies. You don't want to think you've got a fully managed service, and then once you've signed up you find out it's only partially managed.

Server Management team should be capable to handling all issues regarding the server activities. They should keep updates of monitoring server performance at every moment. They should be able to handle the load issue, dos attack, brute force attack and spam attack and concern about the server security issues.
