[Review ]ethProxy solution against DDoS attacks

Posted by HappyHarry, 11-29-2009, 10:28 AM Hello! I just wanted to write a short review for all people having trouble with DDoS attacks. I am part of a project called GGC. We are fighting against cheaters in online games. Those cheaters are not pleased by our service as may be imagined. So they started a heavy DDoS attack (with up to 200.000 kbits/sec - 130.000 packets/sec) against us. Too much for our servers. Searching for help we found two strong partners ServerOrigin and Staminus. We are now using their ethProxy technology to protect our servers. They provided the proxy very quick (a few hours) and told us the necessary configuration changes. Questions got answered fast via ticket 24/7. The only thing they need is your server IP to forward the cleaned traffic. Our servers are based in Germany. The ping slightly raised due to the routing to America and back, of course, but it's minimal. We are very satisfied with this easy solution! Best regards The team of GGC
