Rack911 Review - My Experiences Over 3 Years I've turned to Steven at Rack911 for my most urgent and complicated server problems for the past three years. I've thrown all sorts of server headaches at Steven that have involved: filesystem corruption, OS migrations, cPanel upgrade implosions, load balancing, fighting off determined (and talented) hackers, traffic shaping, and a whole lot more. And, without fail, every time I've turned to Steven with one of these monumental server problems, he has been able to resolve the problem quickly and effectively. But what strikes me as most interesting about Steven is the attitude with which he conducts his work. Steven has a fanatical passion for solving technical problems. Where other server administration companies might treat your problem like another ticket to knock out of the queue, Steven treats server problems like a challenge that must have a solution. As a result, Steven will often go far above and beyond the call of duty to fix my server problems by endeavoring to fully resolve the underlying and aggravating issues. For example, just the other day I sought Steven's assistance in setting up a traffic shaping system to limit (at the NIC level) the speed in which my server could download files from other servers. Steven not only got the system setup, but understood that my endgame goal was to prevent my NIC from being overwhelmed under exceptional traffic conditions. He took it upon himself (with my approval) to implement a kernel that was much better suited for my server's certain traffic environment. That's a level of dedication and technical prowess you just don't get with other server adminisration companies. However, don't think that I mindlessly worship at the altar of Steven's Rack911. I've read the complaints that others have written about Steven and I can acknowledge that Steven does not have the delicacy of demeanor to please all clients at all times. If you come to Steven barking non-sensical demands or take out your server frustrations on Steven's inbox you won't get service with a smile in reply . Others have said that Steven is at times difficult to reach. I can also acknowledge this. On a couple of occassions in the past I received very delayed responses to my service request e-mails. However, I have learned and understand that those deviations from Steven's typically prompt and excellent service were due to a very unfortunate personal circumstance that has recently come to rest. Anyone who has done business with Rack911 recently, as I have, knows that Steven is quick to respond to all service requests. That being said, Steven continues to be the most talented server administrator I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. He has resolved every problem I've ever thrown at him and he does it at unbeatable costs. Heck, he doesn't even charge me if he can't solve the problem! What other server administrators with Steven's level of talent are willing to do the same? None that I know of. Fortunately however, Steven has always been able to collect on the services he has rendered me . I strongly encourage anyone who needs server work done to give Steven's services a try--you will not be disappointed. Best of luck Steve and keep up the great work!

Just a question for the OP. What package do you have with Rack 911? I'm assume hourly consulting or is it something else?

I've talked to Steven on occasion and hes a good guy. I haven't used his services on a professional basis but hes helped me a few times with my own personal problems to due with a technical nature. __________________ hi ub3r
