Need Reseller Hosting, PLEASE HELP!

Posted by Pressure Hosting, 01-15-2014, 07:30 PM
Hi, I am looking for a good reseller which I can use to host my clients, however there are so many I would love for people to give me recommendations and experiences. The following would be beneficial: - Fast and reliable! : Obviously my reputation is on the line, so the most important thing is that they have fast servers and great uptime. -Good Support: Not too bothered about phone lines, but definitely need something with 24/7 help desk/support. -UK Based:-UAs my clients and I are based in the UK, this would be preferable. - Cpanel: It doesn't have to be cpanel, however I would prefer it if it was. Domain Reselling: I would like to have a domain reseller included. Also I would like it if I could resell their VPS/Dedicated servers and add-ons, however this isn't a must as I could use someone else for that (any recommendations for this too would be helpful). I was previously thinking about Heart Internet as they offer all of this, apart from cpanel. This has put me off, as I would prefer cpanel. This is only a temporary solutions as I hope to host from VPS/Dedicated servers when I get more established. Thanks for all your help! Ross

How many sites ? What sizes/specifications of packages ? What budget have you set aside for the reseller account ?

As I am going to start hosting my websites from this new reseller, I will be starting from 0 clients. So I would need something that can expand with my business. In relation to sizes, I have no set amount. Something which is scalable. Thanks Ross

Your needs fairly basic. Have you decided on a budget? Quality comes at a price so I'll recommend you to avoid too good to be true offers. For domain reselling signing up with Resell.biz or NetEarthOne is probably better than reselling domains from your host.

Well I have currently been looking at packages for £20-£50 per month. So anything around that sort of price. Is it fine to get domains from another company, which is different than my reseller hosting? Can it be set up using WHMCS to be automatic? Thanks Ross

EZPZhosting seems to have some very nice reseller plans with lots of features, they've been around for a while and I've seen some positive reviews about them so maybe add them to your shortlist. Search for some other providers that match your criteria and contact each of them to see if they'll be able to properly accommodate your needs.

Ezpzhosting do offer feature packed reseller packages including billing system so they are a good place to start but there are other reseller providers like innohosting.com. If you read through the reseller pages there are many threads comparing providers so this maybe worthwhile before you decide. Its probably a good idea to contact the provider that you like the look of to see how they respond and then only sign up month to month until you are fully happy.

You can use domain reseller from company specialized in domain service. Most domain resellers are based on platform either Enom or Directi which you can configure in billing script like WHMCS. Most reseller hosting providers can give you free domain reseller account. Domain registration can be automatic but you would prefer domain activation when order is approved instead of fully automatic to avoid lost because of fraud order. Your budget is good for a reliable reseller package.

Skynet is one of the worst providers I have ever used. Their support is incompetent and passes you around from department to department. If I could give you a mantra for Skynet, it would be "overpromise and underdeliver". Too many times have they promised to answer a ticket in a given time and failed to address it in the given time. I would never work with them again

Geekstorage.com is a very nice company. Their servers are amazing fast and support is very friendly. Their costs are good too. I've used many resellers before all were decent but geekstorage stood out with their great support. There are many other reseller providers out there that are reliable maybe even better. All I can say is don't rush take your time and be sure to check out company history see what they are about. Try finding old reviews about them then cone to a conclusion. Last of all never pay a year in advance for service with who very your signing up with you never know if it's going to be a bumpy road at all . And most of all always keep your own back ups and stay professional at all times don't give up think of ahead .

I recommend Hostdime or Surpasshosting. Their servers work mostly stable. They reply email within 30 minutes. Also their chat support is very good and usefull. They have their own a data center.

If you're still looking for a provider, I recommend CrocWeb, I had a great experience there, I also love my VPS at Freshroastedhosting however their reseller plans are in the works. Good luck.
