Pointing many NS to two NS

Hi. We have many reseller hosting accounts. Each one has it's own two private name servers(like ns14.ourdomain ns15.ourdomain...). If we moved all resold accounts to one dedicated server, then can we forward each name servers to two name servers? So our customers don't need to update their domain name servers.

You should be able to just change both the A record, and the registered child nameservers for all nsX.ourdomain.com to the same two IP addresses for your new dedicated server. Basically, this would mean that ns1, ns2, ...ns3..etc, would all point to the same IP. There's nothing wrong with this, and will work out nicely. However, you probably should notify your customers to switch to the nameservers you want to use, and give them a date well in the future, maybe 6 months. Then keep reminding them every month or so to change their domains. Then, down the road, you need to setup a DNS cluster so you can move things around and be more flexible without this problem again in the future.

You can point all your nameservers to two nameservers on new dedicated server. Some customers may use third party dns pointing domain to server IP so you need to inform about server change.
