Anybody ever use REGFIRE.COM (NewGenWeb Inc.)
Posted by BoardBoss, 08-07-2013, 07:54 PM |
I am trying to find reviews or information from anyone that has experience with regfire.com, possibly also known as NewGenWeb Inc. Any information is appreciated.
Their reseller offering looks pretty good, although I am open to hearing feedback about that as well.

I've never heard of them, and as they have been around since 2003 and I can't find one review at all about them, I wouldn't use them personally.
If I can find reviews about Godaddy, Hostgator any many other hosts who have been opened a long time you get loads however this provider has zilch.
But you could try them out for a month and then post a review.

That was my feeling exactly, and why I posted about them. I plan to try them out once I can actually chat with them and see if maybe they went by another name previously.

You can't just judge a host by "no reviews" because happy customers do not sometimes post review.
I hope you didn't just say this because you are a competitor?

I cannot imagine I would ever judge a company just by "no reviews". That said, CW Mike makes an excellent point. Whether you are good, bad or ugly, if you have been in the hosting business since 2003, you should show up with SOME type of review. Regardless, that is why I posted in WHT asking for reviews or more info. I am willing to try them out, unless a company with similar offerings and value with good reviews can be found before I do.

Exactly! It's human nature to vent when you're unhappy... and possibly many clients don't know this forum.

Na mate I didn't say it because I'm a competitor, I've used a few hosts who are competitors but I always look for reviews before I use a host, 10 years is plenty of time for a small review even if it's a thank you.

Yes, and it is also true that most companies that old will have SOME review, even if they did one themselves that says how stellar they are.

Excellent point again, Mike.
For the record, I don't want this thread turned into a debate about should there be reviews or not, I just really want to know more about them. If they are worth trying, I will try them. If not, I won't. If no reviews, then I will likely try them and let the community know.
Cheers!

No debate here. This is a public forums and anyone is entitled for their own opinions so we should accept it no matter it is positive or negative and then you decide.
Perhaps you should sign up with them and you will be the first one to post a review here :-)

No doubt about that but you can't just throw this kind of statement "I wouldn't use them personally" to the host without really used them right?
What would happen if I say that against your company?
I don't know the said host but we have to be fair to them especially if they do not visit WHT at all.
