Need Help Finding A Good Reseller Account

Posted by gene158, 03-12-2013, 03:54 PM
Hi Everyone, I'm looking for some recommendations for a fast and reliable reseller account in the Northeast area of the U.S., ideally in PA, NJ or NY. My current budget is $30/month - 50GB Disk Space - cPanel/WHM - WHMCS (optional) - CloudLinux and Litespeed would be nice too I'm using Turnkey Internet but their servers can be quite slow at times, I'm currently hosting around 25 WordPress sites and most of them are very low traffic. Are there any other reliable and faster services in this the northeast region? Does it even matter that much if I used a host in the Midwest or West Coast? These are all basic small business websites that are based in the northeast region. Thanks!

I would take a look at StableHost.com, HawkHost.com or MDDHosting.com These hosts might not offer hosting in NY,NJ, or PA, but they are reliable, high-performance providers that fit most of your criteria. Hosting in the Midwest is a great option if your visitors will primarily be US based.

Maybe server is overloaded you are on. Isnt it better to discuss your matter with their support or some one from their supervisor/management team member? Your requirements are very basic and General and any good provider can suites your needs. Better to check Advertisement section of WHT. And about location, it is better to go for a location where your most of clients belongs or that fits to your niche.

Thanks for the suggestions, will look into those. I noticed that Onra Host is in PA but can't seem to find much reviews on them...

Location won't matter so much state-wise, you would have to look for a solid and stable network instead.

If location does not matter, I may try out GeekStorage.com, their server specs and software seems to be quite good but they are located in Chicago... whereas all of my client sites are in PA, NJ and NY. Can anyone else confirm that location does not matter as much? Thanks for your help!

Yes, I would agree that location does not matter (to an extent). If it's on the same continent, then you're good to go. Otherwise there can be delays (e.g. bandwidth from north america to europe)

Location with USA will not matter much in terms of speed.

Any host located anywhere in the world is likely faster than some of these poor USA providers.

Crocweb or Wirenine Crocweb have a increduble support!

MDD Hosting or Hostdime -- both include WHMCS. A lot of host don't, or they make it an optional add-on for about $15.

Your clients should get good speeds to Chicago based servers. Geekstorage seem to be a decent host, they also have good reseller deals on at the moment.

You might want to ask Turnkey to move your account to a different server and see if things improve.

Resolving the issue with your current host may be the most expedient option with the fewest complications. However, as was said above, your list of requirements if fairly basic. While location can be a factor, it is not a huge one within the continental US.

I recommend you look at MDDHosting as well. We've used many reseller providers over the years and MDD is by far the best one we've used, hands down.
