MyResellerHome.com Review - 1 Year

Posted by HostHighwayTech, 01-03-2012, 12:09 PM
Hi guys. I found this site MyResellerHome site about 1 year ago. I knew that it wasn't a very good deal. But I signed up after all. My experiences with this company are VERY bad. Don't go after them AT ALL. They have seriously slow servers and they go down almost everyday. I once had 11 days downtime and the live chat support said it was uplink problems. Another live chat shows that it apparantly was hard drive failure. I lost all my files. I switched to another server of theirs, still the same. I even got hacked for no reason once (I hadn't even started my site). Overall bad experience. Uptime - 3/10 Speed - 3/10 Support - 3/10 Cost - 9/10 Value for money - 2/10 Would I recommend - Never! I'm switching to the high class RackSpace servers soon. I'm sure I'll have a good time with a host like RackSpace.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to review your provider, now may I ask if you knew they were bad why would you sign up? As for a hard drive failure its pretty common for this to occur this is why you should be with providers who had RAID protected diskspace, also you should never rely on your provider for backups, you should have been doing this all along and you would of never had the data loss you mentioned. Anyhow best of luck with your new provider. NOTE - Be sure to report the domain you hosted with them so the mods can validate your review.

It did have bad reviews. But, still seemed like a good offer. Let's just say, my budget was real low at that time. My point wasn't so. They just lied about their problems. Every time their servers go down, they are like 'The uplink has problems' or 'The hard drive stopped functioning'. They're like 'Please allow us half an hour to fix it.' Even after waiting for 11 days, nothing. Oh yes I forgot to mention. According to their SLA, they say that they will return 5% of it's monthly fee for every 30 minutes of downtime, maximum of 100% of one month's fee. I was entitled to be awarded waive of 100% fees. They said (excuse) 'We give one month performance credit only to people paying yearly.' I just forgot about it, it's useless fighting with them. Thanks Right now, I'm not really in the situation to give out the domain.

I've used pingdom for 2 months now. It reports 108 outages and 98.8% uptime over only the past 2 months. 108 outages is server outages. I suffered 11 days hacked (even though i no one knew about my site then) and about 15 days due to HDD failure. I don't want to go to any Reseller which takes 15 days to replace one hard drive.

I have had a very bad experience with MyResellerHome overall. Oh yes, I've also found various sites on the web which are exactly similar to MyResellerHome. For example, M2host.com. Exactly same template and similar costs. The whole website is completely similar. It's terms and SLA and other legal documents, are SAME.

i would really agree with you even i paid for domain registration and hosting on the 25th October 2012. But till today they have not registered my domain name. When i inquired, their response is that they will register it today (which never came) and the registration takes time to complete and for me to have patience till it finishes. VERY BAD COMPANY!!!
