USA Reseller Account Required

Posted by Foxy Commerce, 10-13-2011, 04:55 AM
I'm looking for a USA reseller account, maximum budget is $50 a month, Ideally has the following... 1) Free SSL Certificate installs 2) Free Site transfers for future clients 3) R1 Soft Backups 4) Best possible bandwith & Disk Space 5) Fast responses to support tickets. Any suggestions?

http://mellowhost.com/reseller.html I'd recommend the above, i've used them when I did a test of USA hosting. Fast support, if you need something done they will do it for you within reason. SSL installs are pretty easy but they may do it for free to keep you as a happy client. They can move accounts over for you. They do daily R1soft back ups. Their costs are good for what you get too and well under your budget so it would be worth looking at them

Around 50,000MB of disk space though more the better.

If you have that kind of budget, why dont you go for managed VPS. There are many good managed VPS providers around. You can pop over to the VPS forum and ask around

Hmm, works for me :/

You can get cheap servers for $50 now. OVH do them, and there in USA and CA now. http://forum.ovh.co.uk/showthread.php?t=3515&page=13

hostmyshop your budget seems to be quite reasonable for your requirements and can get a good reseller plan from any company that does not overload their servers. However, like others suggested, if you decide to go for VPS instead of reseller hosting, and just incase if you are not used to server administration, I would advise you to go for a managed VPS. Assuming your core business is ecommerce and shopping cart based, it is extremely important that you choose the right host from security and stability point of view. I do actually have a managed VPS with Wired Tree, and although there support has been fantastic I am still having problems as I want to Ideally create a Reseller account on there with cPanel & WHM access as that is what I am used to, however everytime I try and setup a reseller account I don't seem to have cPanel or WHM access which is driving me round the bend and every time I open a support ticket I feel like a twitt and as such don't ask the right questions. Though if I can setup the reseller on my VPS with the VPS limits then I think I would be more than happy. May just need to bite the bullet and ask them if they will create a reseller account on my VPS so that I can use the WHM & cPanel interfaces.

If Cpanel is installed, as the VPS root owner you should have access to WHM there. Creating a reseller is as easy as granting reseller privileges to an existing user on the system from WHM. Where is it you're having trouble with that? Maybe we can help you through it.

When I was choosing VPS, I did consider WiredTree. Mostly because of cost and location, I choose KnownHost instead. Every since, KnownHost support has been really good at "teaching" me stuff, even the technical stuff such as linux command. Response time, almost always in 15 mins. What I like about them is I can ask them silly or even wrong questions and they will give me a very professional reply, that shows they know what I am asking for.

Right. I had a very good experience with them and specially they treated me like a pupal and tried to explain linux commands in details. You will be very satisfied with them.
