Sorry, let me clarify.
I'm looking for people who can personally recommend a UK based DirectAdmin host, one which offers reseller accounts (just so I can create separate accounts at my own free will).

Hi
I know Goscomb.net offer DirectAdmin, not sure if they offer reseller accounts, but I assume they would. They have a good reputation in the UK hosting market.
Thanks

How come you are limited to UK only? Why not USA?
Unless you are doing latency specific things, there is no reason I can think of to go UK only. Plenty of US companies can accommodate you (re: medialayer, etc)

You could look at Vooservers. I have used them but with C Panel though they also offer Direct Admin

I have used VooServers and Goscomb before for Direct Admin accounts and both performed well. I have to agree though, reputable Direct Admin hosters are few and far between.
I also used bolthosting.co.uk but they have just closed down their retail hosting operation.

True, but directadmin doesnt have as much functionality and is lighter weight. I guess customers stick to what they know best.
Thanks

I did check your site out by the way but still decided to stick to my guns on staying in the UK.
Various reasons such as:
- being billed in GBP, one fixed price not controlled by the exchange rate.
- supporting UK business.
- billing / office hours are the same as mine.
- latency to the USA is often noticeable in my experience (especially with SSH, SFTP, FTP) but even if it isn't, I prefer to shave all of the milliseconds I can off http requests and most of my visitors are in the UK.
- knowing where I stand on the law etc.
Basically it's just easier for a UK business to deal with another UK business.
I ended up going with something a bit different for what I needed anyway with CatN hosting (currently in BETA).
