proftpd - Hide hidden folders and files

Is there anyway to hide hidden files and folders while using proftpd server? For some reason it list all files and folders starting with "."

Yes, you can hide those files. Use the option IgnoreHidden & restart the proftpd service. Have a check at http://www.proftpd.org/docs/directiv...oreHidden.html once.

I tried that but it's not working for me. I put below in the proftpd config: So any files under home directory or sub directory wouldn't be shown to user which has extension of .sh. But for some reason I can still see it.

Why do you have the '^'. Try without it: I am assuming you want to hide .sh files
