Newbie is looking for a starter Reseller Hosting with max-budget $9/m???
Posted by neverno, 09-27-2011, 01:48 PM |
Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie in the Reseller Hosting field. Now I'm looking for a starter Reseller Hosting for my first time.
The max-budget is $9/m.
Sure it must contains Cpanel. I think it's impossible to have a Billing System eg. HOSTBILL/WHMCS with this budget. So not request.
Other things like Space, Bandwidth, etc.: as much as you can.
Thanks so much!

Eh, i'd be weary of the quality of Reseller hosting at such a low price.
How much storage and transfer are you looking to get for that budget? How about location of the service, where in the world are you or your customers?

I'd recommend raising your budget. I don't think you'll find a host offering WHMCS or HostBill licenses for anything under at least $15. I think with a budget of $25 you would find a selection of hosts offering a free WHMCS license (HostGator.com, mddhosting.com).

Considering WHMCS is atleast $10/month, you're not going to find anything close to that.

The choice is get a proper host or get a load of grief!
So raise your budget!

The lowest I have seen good reseller packages for is 10/mo
Be more specific on your requirements and we will try to suggest something within that.
better to raise your budget and also check the offer section.

I think your budget is reasonable as long as you do not go looking for a provider that is overselling (in other words claiming to offer you anything more than 5GB of diskspace, I would consider overselling at that price range).
You definitely wont be able to get a WHMCS license included for that budget, but there are plenty of free billing softwares out there like AccountLab Plus that will pretty much do the same thing WHMCS does.

I have no idea for how much storage and transfer I can get with this budget. So I'm here for a advise. My main focus is Asian users. So good speed to asia is better.

I don't recommend to have a Billing System if it's impossible with this budget. So I think it's a reasonable budget for a newbie. Can you have some nice idea?

I'm really a newbie so I don't know how much I can take.
Such as this: http://deasoft.com/usreseller.php. His R1 plan price with coupon 25%off is $9.3. Is it overselling? How about its features?

I'm pretty sure the best answer comes from the host itself.
Do try to contact the host you are interested in to get further details about the product.

Have a look in the hosting offers section of this forum
check the feedback from other users for the host.

Definitely looks like overselling to me, if it were a regular shared account, it would be more reasonable. However since its a master reseller account you are looking at, I would definitely put that package into the "overselling category".
If you want my advice, focus on looking for regular reseller accounts (not master/alpha reseller accounts). With your budget, by going with a regular reseller account, you will increase the chances of landing on a more stable server as opposed to an unstable server (which usually results from oversold budget master reseller accounts).

You should increase your budget a little more so you can have WHMCS license and a good amount of diskspace and storage.
You are looking at around $25-$30/month. If that is not worth the investment for you then it would probably be best if you dropped the Reseller hosting idea, well at least for now anyway.

Its pretty amazing how many of you are telling the OP to raise his/her budget in order to have WHMCS or the likes.
Considering the OP says this:
I recommend to the OP that you take alook at the reseller hosting offers section, Their is plenty of deals under the $10 a month mark within that section.

There are not Their is, FYI.

Thanks.
ummmm........What's the difference between master, alpha and regular reseller?
|
Posted by Forward Web, 09-28-2011, 07:18 AM |
Regular reseller account allows you to create regular shared web hostings accounts where Master/Alpha reseller accounts allows you to create shared web hosting accounts + reseller accounts, which you can all manage under on reseller account. The ideology behind the Master/Alpha set-up is great, however what usually ends up happening is providers offering this types of services offer them at a budget level, which leads to the server becoming overcrowded/unstable.

If you don't mind going about $5-6 up then have a look at namecheap. If you want WHMCS then check blue host out.

If you need reliable reseller hosting for that budget I suggest you gazzin.com plans. I'm using them and have no troubles at all

WHMCS is best and is in your budget,i thought that it takes $10.
|
Posted by neverno, 10-07-2011, 06:07 AM |
I don't think this budget can include WHMCS. I just want a RELIABLE, around this budget, CPanel Regular Reseller Hosting for a newbie.
|
Posted by zomex, 10-07-2011, 12:53 PM |
It would take much more than that.

For beginning starting bussiness you may use free billing system to save budget as small as possible. You can use billing software such as ALP or THT.
It's more pride if we are able to provide the best support and service for customers. Instead of using WHMCS but not able to provide support and good service.
Prestige of a business can obtained from ability to provide great support and service to customers not from kind of billing software system that used.
