Malware warning from Opera
Posted by ransome, 09-13-2014, 09:09 PM |
It looks like one of my colleague's site was reported to Opera as a malware/fraud site by his competitor. My friend has been searching to find a way to get the malware warning removed unsuccessfully, can any one guide how to proceed with this ?
This is just an image hosting site, there's nothing in there to be called as a fraud or malware site, they don't sell anything & ads on the page are commonly used on other sites as well.

The blacklist for Yandex is used for the Opera browser. You may contact its support (http://webmaster.yandex.com/delspam.xml) to analyze the website.

As far as I know you can't just report any website, your sites friends is or was probably infected with malware, otherwise they would not add it to the list. Its not like you can blacklist clean websites.

You are welcome. You may try online scanners such as http://sucuri.net/ to ensure that the site is not infected.

Thanks guys, yes it looks like an infection with the advertiser ero-advertising, which caused this alert. Yandex have removed the warning & confirmed to my friend that, it was due to ero, the issue arose. While Google have started showing it up only on the script where this script was probably used, my friend said, it said as "Undetermined malware"
Now my friend has to fix this up.

guys, I just wanted to know... whether is it common for Google not to show up detected date for an suspected malware infection ?
As currently my friend's account shows a blank for detected date & detected location.

It's possible for Google not to reflect the date or it may be updated at a later time; Has your friend been able to find the cause of the problem?
