A little help

Ok so it's my first post here and I'm wondering if you guys can help me clear my troubles about setting up a hosting company using reseller. I get the idea that I will need a reseller package and I'm looking at one from WebFusion, a sister company of the UK based hoster 123-reg so they are reputable. I just don't understand the purchasing process. I would be using WHCMS as this seems to be the standard. But does WHCMS take care of creating the allocated server slots (splitting the hard drive up) or does it just tell me that a customer has requested the selected package and then I need to create the space and send them the details? P.s If you need more information then I'm willing to give it.

It does everything for you. User choose package - > Pay -> Whmcs set up account - > mail sent to user with login details. Done.

Well, you will create and customize packages as you see fit via WHM. You can then list these packages in WHMCS, and associate them with products. That way, when a client pays for "Plan 1", WHMCS will tell the server to create the account on the server and will email your client the details. WHMCS is a great tool, you're going to love it! Makes managing everything a breeze. If you have any specific questions or concerns, i'd be happy to help you out.

So I have to host my web hosting company site on my reseller hosting and grant it privalages to do everything? I'm just looking to learn right now, if any one had good resources then I would be very happy. Do you think WebFusion is a good host?

No experience with them but I'd prefer to go with somebody that's highly regarded on here. And I certainly wouldn't choose a huge company to deal with because invariably the service will be lacking somewhere. Godaddy is a classic example. Finding a host here, you can be sure you're getting the real deal....cos if there's any skeletons in the closet, they're going to come out on here. In your position where you're obviously going to need help to get you up and running, I'd go to EZPZHosting. Dan's a great guy and he's always there for his clients.

I was looking for a reseller packaged with unlimited bandwidth, something that EZPZ does not provide...

What you do is, you set up Packages in WHM (Not whmcs) Then you log in to your WHMCS installation (Installation instructions at wiki.whmcs.com) And link the WHM packages to WHMCS in WHMCS.
