how 2 Load balance mail server

Guys.... How may I host a mail server in two VPS? Using openvz VPSs & cPanels.... Any idea?

If you just want SMTP high availability, you can run two small SMTP forwarders which forward mail to the cPanel server. It's fairly straight forward. What is your end goal? HA mail or some crazy clustered setup?

HOWDY, The goad is HA email service, for both SMTP,POP3 any other ideas ?

SMTP is easy, basically what I explained works fine. POP3 means you'll need to store your messages across multiple servers. Either in a database or a shared filesystem or similar. Easiest way would be to run a Gluster Geo-Rep on the mail directory and pacemaker or something to move the IP over.

HOWDY, I need more details in how to implement this ...

I don't know how easy/possible it would be if you wanted to use cPanel. If you were using plain servers something like DBMail could work. If you really want it your best bet will likely be some sort of shared filesystem. Crothers mentioned two tools that could potentially do it with some work.

Heartbeat and pacemaker work beautiful with both postfix and exim4 as SMTP. I personally like dovecot as POP3/IMAP and I implemented it a few times in cluster environment without issues.

how about setting different mx weight/priority? Usually the easiest.
