Netherlands Reseller Hosting

Posted by SGWebsNow, 01-14-2010, 06:55 PM
Hey, I have been looking for a reseller hosting package in the Netherlands (English) for some time, but offshore hosting companies seem to spring up and disappear very quickly, meaning 90% of the links I've found are now out of business. The ones that I have found mostly have bad reviews, mainly because of their extremely poor customer service. I am now wondering if it is worth renting a server from Leaseweb or similar. I will have much more control over my server, but on the down side, it will cost quite a bit more than the cheaper reseller providers. Your thoughts/opinions? Does anyone have any good, legit reseller (WHM) providers in the Netherlands?

Hello, What is your budget ?

You mentioned about renting a server. How many websites will you be hosting?

Posted by SGWebsNow, 01-14-2010, 07:17 PM
Not many to start with. A few small static sites, a couple of blogs or forums, and perhaps a couple of slightly larger database driven sites. Nothing too major though (yet). Renting a dedicated server is my last option though, and only if I can't find a high-quality reseller. Budget is as cheap as possible, but I will pay for quality if necessary. €50 is the cheapest I could get one from leaseweb for.

i think you can start from VPS then if all ok go for server.

I think multiply web hosting account should be enough for you. You do not need VPS.

If you have good knowledge on managing server, you can start from VPS.

No, I need a reseller account. It fits my needs more fully. Any recommendations on where to get a VPS in the Netherlands (preferably with cheap WHM, if not, then I'll get it from licensepal)?

This list may help you. Look for ones in Netherlands. http://www.cpanel.net/apps/partners/....cgi?showall=1 If a company can make it as a cPanel partner, they will most likely to stick around for a long time.

Thanks, that looks useful. I'll have a look.

I would try prahost (the admin is active on these forums, look above)- they are quite good! I have a mate with a server with them and he is quite impressed, why you need NL though?

Thanks, I will take a look. I can't go into full details (this being a US-based forum and all), but they're just less strict than over here in the UK.

Yeah, I am from the UK myself... with the three strikes and your out motto with isp's now, it's starting to be beyond a joke You should also try ovh.co.uk though - they are a french company and from what I have read on here, very reliable, fast and good - seems like 80% of the file sharing community use them as a seeding box!

Yeahh. That law is only benefiting large companies though. No small business or normal person can afford the legal fees it would take to take any action on anyone else, only the big businesses can. Torrentfreak.com is a good source of news for this kind of thing, along with the Pirate Party UK blog and forum. The whole things is ridiculous though. OVH are cracking down on people using them for seedboxes, and I don't like them as a company any way. lol Thanks for the suggestion though.
