[Help] Data got Vanished - Plesk Panel

Posted by Factor8, 10-26-2013, 06:01 AM
So, I got a new server with Parallels Plesk 11.0.9 installed. I am new to this panel, so tried n migrated some data to a folder and it took much time to edit and setup all that stuff. When i tried to park a domain to that folder i saw that the folder was overritten by default panel's files :/ Please help me over this, can i get my data back, is that still on the server or vanished ?? It shouldn't have removed unless you have remove somehthing (a sub-domain?), so I have the strong feeling that it is safe there. Can you confirm what exactly you were trying to so, so that someone can help you.

Ohk, a subdomain was already parked to that folder ex. sub.A.com and a domain (b.com) was parked to another dir which i wanted to be parked to the path of tht subdomain, so i removed the domain and re-parked the domain to subdomain's path. This done all the prob and some default files are there now and all data is gone i guess ;O

This shouldn't remove the already existing files in the sub-domain folder, Only the files in the other domain's folder should have been cleared. And it looks like the default files are added to the folder, but the old files are still existing?.

Sir, Does, removing domain remove its dir too ?? If yes, it goes to some tmp dir or fully cleared from the server ??

I am not sure if you are using linux or windows but did you try to verify it via command prompt/ssh ?

Unfortunately yes (unless you ticket the check box not to remove the files.). And no, its fully removed from the server. But I would suggest you to do a find for a file to see if its hidden somewhere.
