Small Reseller Plan (recommend)

Posted by keenly, 11-05-2009, 10:16 AM
G'day everyone. I have a small Reseller plan cPanel/WHM I’m happy with that I have but I buy it from a guy I met in a chatroom and with more and more customers relying on my host for their emails I would like the security of a well know host. Can you recommend a company with a plan that suites me. Heres what I have... US server (quad xeon 2.66GHz) Shared Hosting cPanel/WHM (fantastico) Linux 2000MB Storage 40,000MB Bandwidth Unlimited accounts/domains/email/databases $105 I have existing customers and don't want to take away any of their features. I would prefer unlimited accounts (lets say 40 at the least). I don't want to pay any more that $105 per year if i can help it. australian host's most welcome. Let me know if i have missed anything. Thanks.

keenly Host Gator, Site5, Inno Hosting, Host For Web, Eleven2 are some of the well known players in the industry in no specific order. I would recommend you search for their reviews on this forum to get a better understanding about their business and you can also contact them directly if you have further questions.

What are the features that you currently have? Most cPanel/WHM hosting provider have almost the identical features while some have some extra features here and there.

Check out Resellerzoom / Resellerscene and Qoozz hosting; they have small reseller accounts within your budget...

Chances are, you'll need to increase your budget a bit if you want a stable and reliable host.

Thanks. does anyone know if you can get custom plans. i asked site5 and they said no. all the sites mentioned cost more money than i'm paying now, but give 10+ times the about of data and bandwidth i need.

this might be true... it would be nice to get one with sub-reseller accounts and go halfsies.

Greetings Keenly, What your price comes out monthly is a little below normal reseller accounts. 8.95 roughly a month. I've normally only see resellers for 14 to 32.00 a month (cheaper the longer you pay in advanced.) From the amount of ds/bandwith you need, shared or semi-dedicated hosting would be much cheaper. Chris

keenly, You will usually only find custom plans with smaller hosts.

keenly, Sent you a pm about something. Db09, I was speaking about most of the known medium to large size hosting company's. Not the small ones which don't see as much publcizity.

I am looking for the same basic thing here. Would anyone happen to know a $7 or under reseller that is good?

Posted by bear, 11-06-2009, 08:15 AM
I'd certainly hope it wasn't an offer or anything of that nature.

Posted by ludwigvb, 11-06-2009, 08:15 AM
My opinion is that $7 is TOO low for reseller. If you find and buy one of those then, soon, you will be back here complaining for low level support and services

Your budget is too low to find a reliable reseller hosting. If you can increase it when I recommend Surpasshosting. Their costs are affordable and the service is great.

Posted by keenly, 11-07-2009, 08:29 PM
yes. i agree... I think I might wait until i have a little more money or need more space and go with site5... customer service and reputation is incredible.

We had a reseller hosting account on Site5 before. Their support was very slow and poor and uptime was really bad. I don't recommend them.

Back when we started, we worked with innohosting, but unfortunately they're not within you're budget.

Some hosts will make a custom plan for you, however the major hosts may not be able to since they deal in such large volumes.

This definitely isn't our standard level quality of service. If you have any ticket IDs, I'd like to take a look into it and see why you experienced such poor service.

Hai, Try to increase your budget! Then you can find lots of reliable hosting companies!

Posted by AquariusStorage, 11-09-2009, 02:39 AM
keenly You get what you pay for. 105$ per year comes out to be 8.75$ and you're not going to get what you're asking for and have it be reliable for that much per month.

Pronet hosting and webhostbuzz are pretty good reseller host too.

What domains are/have you been hosting with them? You can send them to the moderating team if you don't want to make them public: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/report.php?p=6486206

Site5 maybe fit you.

Posted by amccoy, 11-18-2009, 05:48 AM
I think your budget is right for the resources you need your problem is going to be that most reseller accounts offer a lot more than this therefore their costs are higher. You will either have to increase your budget or else find a host that will allow you to create a custom package.
