recommended cpanel + cloudlinux settings for shared hosting

Posted by charliemcdonut, 08-21-2013, 07:40 PM Hello, I'm looking to start web hosting and have been running my own web servers for a few years now. Having my own web servers is fine and don't need configuring much. However running shared hosting servers need configuring for safety, optimisation etc. So what settings, configuration should I set so that the dedicated server is ready for shared hosting? Any guides, setup instructions? Also the same question but without cloudlinux. What settings do you shared hosters set? I have the os already setup and safe. Thanks
Posted by net, 08-21-2013, 07:44 PM If it is for shared hosting, always use CloudLinux. Then, make sure the server is properly optimized and secured. Personal server is different with Shared Hosting server because with shared hosting, you can't control the users in uploading files unless you monitor it closely but it can slip so security is very important in Shared Hosting server.
