CPU 100% on 512M vps

| My 512M vps many days cpu 100% on 0:00~5:00,
can not login to ssh,
check log : out of memory,
So i change web server
old: PHP 5.3 MYSQL 5.5
NEW: PHP 5.2 MYSQL 5.0
work is good

| 512MB is really small these days... sooner or later, you will experience problem again.

| do you ran any cms software on this VPS? have you optimised the mysql, php and Apache?

| So, if I understand well the issue was because of the php/mysql newer versions? You have downgraded and everything is fine?

| In which case it may have been your scripting that is depreciated or incompatible... There is nothing wrong with PHP 5.3 and MySQL 5.5

| Usually KVM takes 100-150MB for the system.. make it 250 so 50% is free + swap - it should be okey for small to medium websites, but 100% cpu is never ok - maybe some php script has bugged like entering a infinite loop..
