Regedit Changes not saving

Hello, I have a dedi server with Windows Server 2008 RD Standard. I added some keys to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\ After I restart the server all those key changes disappeared. How to prevent this? How to make the changes permanent? Thank you for all the help.

Right click on the profilelist folder in regedit and select permissions. Make sure you have ownership and full control of it.

They are set correctly I guess. Check this. http://img.sceper.eu/images/Xfk7a.png

Check the ownership tab. Also I think I read somewhere that the key/keys can't be longer than 100 character spaces. I have not seen this issue in 2008 before.
