Posted by kafka13, 05-12-2012, 03:28 PM Hi guys, I;m trying to create a share foled on my windows 2003 server but without a luck. I need as when I type \\my_public_ip_address\shared to be opened the shared folder. for now I get a prompt to enter a username and pass when I try that but nothing happen, it is like the username and password are not correct, but they are. also, the permissions for this users and FULL. thanks,
Posted by webhostinghand, 05-12-2012, 06:32 PM Hello, Try this: \\YOUR_COMPUTER_NAME\YOUR_FOLDER Remember also that you need to right click and select Sharing and then "Share this folder" so that it's accessible. You will need to use your Administrator account to get access to this folder. Also, ensure that both computers are connected to the same domain or work group. If you need assistance, let me know.
