www.reseller-center.com what's happening

I'm with reseller-center.com and now find they are not answering their emails over the last few days, and many pages on their website are unavailable. Does anyone have any news about them that I should know, or is this just a hiccup?

Hi have you tried to call them? I also see lots of phperrors on their website when browsing.

They are USA I'm in the UK. Calling them is going to be the next step, but as I can't get any joy from email things are a bit suspicious! They've had their ups and downs but generally they've been very good. It is quite strange they are not answering! Wondered if there were any other users on here that may know something?

do their only support not answer any tickets in a timely manner for you to of posted on WHT? How long is it since you emailed them?

They've always been very prompt in answering support emails. They use an automated system that sends a confirmation email back in response to my email showing that it has been received, before replying in person. I'm not getting these confirmations which makes me think something is up. Support is offten within just a couple of hours. I've sent a few off over 3 days and no reply. Even sent one to their sales dept, and no reply yet.

well its likely you email a ticket system and it sends you back a ticket ID, if that system uses php, and there php is messed up, then its likely that system is not working with email. They need to recompile php. This is a simple task so why its taking them so long i dont know.

They use H-Sphere, so that's not the problem. It's only a guess, but I'd say their mail queue is back-logged, or their cp is having some mail relaying problems. Did you log in to their cp and check the ticket status manually? The ticket is probably there, maybe they have an answer for you. Simon

Marc from reseller-center has now been in touch with me after seeing my post on here. Don't know what the problem was yet though.

There definately seems to be a comminication problem here. I replied to the one email I received direct, and had no reply back. I replied to the one support email that actually got through, and no reply back from that either. This is frustrating because if I had a problem they would be very difficult to get in touch with. I don't think it's a problem with my email as I'm receiving/sending email as normal to everyone else. This really isn't like them at all so I think there's a technical problem with one of us somewhere. Normally these chaps are 100% on the ball. Mark - if you see this post - have you had my replies from me to the email and support ticket you sent me?

Hi Paul, I'm also with reseller-center.com. If you raise a support ticket on http://cp.hsphereweb.com:8080 they normally get back to you with an hour. The issue with there website has been they for ages. -i think it's because reseller-center.com customer we're sold to another company a few years ago, and the site is just a legacy. Phil

Hi Phil Do you mean: http://cp.hsphere.com:8443 as the 8080 one is for our client accounts? Problem I have is that port 8443 is blocked to me for most of the day so I can't submit tickets via the control panel. I have to use their support email address. However lately any emails sent to that address seem to disappear and never get answered. Also when you get a reply via email, when you reply back to it (using email) they don't receive the reply. I've sent numerous tests to them recently and it would seem that using the control panel works. Using email doesn't work so I think they have an issue they need to look at.

8080 isn't just for client accounts. 8443 is the secure port, 8080 is the insecure port. Both can be used. If port 8080 is open for your clients, then it's open for you to use to contact them. With the same username/pass you use to login with them on 8443, login at port 8080. Simon

to add to Simons comments, ask them to get hsphere to listen on standard ports so that 8080 or 8443 is not required. This pretty much makes it so that everyone can access the control panel both securely and insecurely without worrying about being blocked by firewalls (especially at work ) ie) http://cp.domain.com and https://cp.domain.com

yeah, just to confirm i use 8080 http://cp.hshpeherweb.com:8080 - different port and without the S. Phil
