Server hostname questions?

Hello everyone! My last post received a lot of feedback and helped out a lot. I am hoping you may be able to help out again on another issue! Basically I set up my vps, following several walk through, cpanel is set up, domain name changed, nameservers set up and everything was great. I followed some recommendations for security fixes and updates, created packages and a reseller account also. I can create new accounts in whm just fine. Now, i transferred my whmcs files & database over also. when i try to set up an alternate server in whmcs it shows as green check mark, but gives me grief. Any new account created in whmcs doesn't show up on whm, and doesn't work either. not sure what's up. for some reason if i type server.changetheweb.ca it gives error like theres no website. and i also have issues now trying to log into cpanel / whm, as if its using the login/passwords from my old server. For example, changetheweb.ca/whm ---> whm login - but my root password dont work ( the old servers username works then kick backs to error) I can only log in with the ip 199.19.157.7/whm for example. which works I tried setting the A class for the host name in whm but still nothing... anyone know how to fix this issue? or where i can look? Im thinking its something to do with the host name set up wrong? whm hostname is set for server.changetheweb.ca... Thanks again for any ideas! Chris

I can see the default site page that cPanel sets up when going to the address you pointed to. Perhaps your DNS needed to take some time to propagate. I would try again if you haven't already.

ok i will clarify... -server.changetheweb.ca/ says that page not found -changetheweb.ca/cpanel >>> cpanel login >>> works good -changetheweb.ca/whm >>> whm login >>> incorrect user/pass -199.19.157.7/whm >>> whm login >>> root login works maybe im missing something? can you only login to whm via ip with root? more importantly, how do i get whmcs to create accounts properly?
