Add some reasonable bandwidth limitation. If you advertise "unlimited bandwidth" of course people would use it for torrents - what else could they use the "unlimited bandwidth" for?

Block .torrent and pages that contains magnet:// links? The best way to block a torrent is before it starts downloading, but there is no 100% way, as torrents are made to be "unblockable" or at least try to be.

Thanks for your input unlimited bandwidth is promotion tricks just like the share hosting company limit bandwidth can not resolve this problem, i need completely block it. i have made a clear statement on my site, that US servers can not be used for torrent. however, there are always people completely "blind" to that statement

It is a well known fact that most people don't read ToS, and even when they read it - they don't care, especially if you tell them "we don't keep logs". Now to the technical part - you could try to severely rate limit everything, except port 80 and port 443 (on your US servers). This way the VPN will be mostly useless for torrenting, while web browsing will be good and fast.

How about block the trackers? is that gonna work?

The problem is you don't know the IPs of the trackers (there are many). Also not all P2P download technologies use trackers.

I see So, i think it's pretty clear that torrent traffic can not be completely blocked, the only thing you can do is disturb the P2P, make him leave away himself. My server provider give me some suggestions - filter traffic and restrict access to specific ports (i.e 80, 443), torrent announcements will still pass though - setup a transparent proxy that and will detect/block GET announcement to torrent trackers - setup some network detection system (i.e using Snort) to automatically detect/block torrent packets i don't know whether this gonna work or not. i'll try

why will block torrent vpn?

The fact that you are specific against torrents on your US servers, presumably means you allow it on the rest of your servers. Don't you think it is a pity? Sounds like you are inviting a thief in your house, but only in the rooms on which you do not keep any gold. The gold is in the 'forbidden' rooms...

Why do you want to block this anyway? To save on bandwidth, or because you're getting pushback from your host regarding abuse? There are solutions to both problems, that don't necessarily require you totally block bittorrent.
