What should I do???

Hi all, for over a year now I have had a resellers account with etglobalsolution dot co dot uk When I started the owner gave me a discounted rate and provided excellant support via msn. We chatted like friends and everything was fine. Over the past 6 months his company has grown and he has diversified into computer sales etc. There has been some downtime on the server and the lack of decent support meant I was left waiting for answers when he felt like it. As I sit here now the server has been offline for over 24 hours. The owner is not on msn, his support site is down so I cannot submit a ticket and an e-mail to his personal msn address got bounced back. I have tried calling his company phone number but it just rings out. I really don't know where he is, this is very unlike him. I have about 20 accounts on my resellers package, some of which are blogs etc with MySQL databases. I need access to the server to backup everything. I want to move to another host that is more reliable. What should I do? What can I do? I understand if the server is down I cannot get onto it, but is there anything I can do? I'm really stuck, any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

May just have to cut your losses. I mean if you can not get ahold of the person, support tickets bounce back, server is not online to transfer accounts. There is not much else you can do as far as getting your data.

Is there any way I could contact my supplier's supplier?

In many cases, their supplier will not be able to help you. Often companies have privacy policies and stick pretty darn hard to them. Although they may not help you, you really have nothing to lose to ask. If you want to find out the provider, do a whois lookup on your providers domain. http://www.whois.sc

I found that the domain is registered with 123-reg but I want to find out who supplies his hosting so I can contact them to see if they may be able to help me retrieve my data.

yeah, if your dead set on leaving them then perhaps go ahead and set up your account somewhere else and get it ready. Wait a few days to see if the server comes online so you can transfer then close the account.

Their IP space belongs to NetrinoUK. You can "try" to contact them about it, but I don't think you'll get very far. As for your hosting provider's site, it was probably on the same server as yours, hence why it's offline now. Their nameservers are failing lookup.

Hello Khalid Get a new reseller account and move everything as soon as the server get online again.

Thanks for all the replies. I have contacted Netrino in the hope they will be able to help me. I can only pray that it will all work out. I'll keep you posted, Khalid.

good luck, doubt you'll get far though, probably was losing money so decided to cut his losses and do a runner. Servers probably been disconnected if everything has been down for a while and he's not around
