Posted by oninuva, 06-18-2006, 10:21 PM

What control panel? What kind of specs you need? Way too many hosts to be able to recommend based on your request. -Jay

There are some that offer unlimited bandwidth, and that would make it basically $0 per gig. Not that I would recommend using such a reseller hosting provider, or bother remembering them.

cpanel -linux -mySQL -Fantastico and what u mean 0$ a gig

Posted by WireNine, 06-19-2006, 12:42 AM
He means since its unlimited, you are not paying per gig, you use as much as you want. Right, Dan?

Posted by Vickie, 06-19-2006, 01:26 AM
Price per gig = Price / Bandwidth Since Bandwidth = unlimited, Price per gig = Price / Unlimited Price per gig tends to 0 Hence statement "basically $0 per gig"

Yup. The wonderful world of mathematics.

oninuva, What he is trying to say is that when you find this "Cheap" reseller you will more than likely eventually have so many problems with them that you will be back here complaining about them. And then you may be asking for more reseller recommendations. What everyone here is trying to tell you that generally speaking "cheap=bad support and unreliable" in this business. If you want a reliable reseller account for your customers (and you) you should generally not look for the cheapest and you should not look at the resellers that offer unlimited space and/or bandwith. "Unlimited=cheap/bad support/unreliable" If you are willing to put up with those bad qualities for you and your customers or possibly worst case scenario they just go out of business and leave you and your customers hanging then go to the offers section of this forum and look there. Or check out E-Bay. There seems to be a lot of unlimited reseller accounts there. You won't get a recommendation from anyone here for a "Cheap" reseller due to the comments I made above. Nobody here wants to put their reputation on the line in front of their peers and competition to recommend a bad company. I hope this helps!

Get back to the Basics You get what you Pay for..... Xau

cheap service = cheap servers = cheap employees (knowledgeable staff wont work for cheap) = cheap uptime (everyone wants to be up 100% of the time, not 50%).

I don't believe what you find a good reseller hosting under $20/month. Quality and reliability and service is more important than price. You must not look for a reseller hosting if you have no much money.

i found one for 20 dollars/month its unlimited everything... does it sound fishy? he has a 100% feed back

Posted by oninuva, 06-19-2006, 11:18 PM
bumpo anyone?

Posted by DaKine, 06-19-2006, 11:33 PM
I give up.

Posted by Xau, 06-20-2006, 01:37 PM
This sounds like an E-bay Auction for webhosting.. if it is, i personally wouldnt touch it... a Quality host would say 1 Gig of Storage/ 30 Gigs of Bandwidth for $25 with a 99.9% uptime guarantee... or something to that effect. No Host can offer unlimted anything. Xau

oninuva, unlimited reseller hosting accounts can only mean trouble in the long run. Price (or what you get for the $) should not be the main criterion when choosing a host. Pyramid schemes have positive feedback in the begining too, but they're boud to fail at some point. The same goes for unlimited reseller accounts. Take a look at the costs of dedicated servers; see how much data transfer and space they come with. That's reality!

If you can get a plan with cheap price + good support, do not hesitate to go ahead with it. However, what chamelion has warned you should be taken into your consideration as well, it should the most important part in choosing the right host.

unlimited in everything with the price means they have to shut down their server soon.
