Never thought Id leave BlueWho :( Help replacing it please?

Hey, BlueWho rocked until a few days ago when SOME ppl started complaining they couldnt mail us Whats the BEST option out there? The price doesnt matter (kinda ), since Id buy the cheapest package, but from the best, if possible. I need to host a couple domains, but nothing huge. I dont really resell, its just that I got some domains I play around with. Most my transfer is only mail, I hardly use 1gb a month.. so looking for uptime and good connections or whatever lol dunno what stopped some mails from arriving to my BlueWho's.. Thanks in advance, Txus Last edited by Txus; 06-15-2006 at 12:17 PM.

Have you tried to look at the offers in the Shared/Reseller section? Also, have you tried working with BlueWho to isolate the issue of emails? It might be an issue with the senders also, in the sense that their IP might be blacklisted for SPAM.

Spamcop has had some major ISPs blacklisted for spamming the last few days I have had customers complain as well.

First of all, thanks for the replies. Now, the offers.. many can offer shiny things, but I need something thats is known for working already thats how I got with BlueWho, a lot of positive feedback, and thats what I need now, hehe. This company is one which mails ppl all over the world, Id say they woulda noticed by now if they were the prob (mails get bounced to them after 2 days or so, they say.. they would get a lot more of bounced mails and then theyd know THEy are the prob). BlueWho did offer to try solve it, but they asked my pw and stuff to TRY reproduce it.. I dont like when things just dont work.. Ill buy as many hosts as needed until everyone can mail me No matter if I have 10 hosts for 1 month and keep the very best one at the end Im checking Dotable.com, seems this Bob sir is TEH shitniz Thanks for replies, Txus

Bob definitely has one of the best reputations on WHT. - I highly doubt you'll come back complaining about his services. I don't believe you listed a budget for the 1gb of transfer?

You might want to give them another chance. Sometimes, a tech will simply not see a problem until the issue is provoked from their end. Hopefully, your decision wasn't too hasty and you've given them a reasonable amount of time solve these issues. --Adrian

Not sure what "TEH shitniz" means, but it sounds alright.

Hi Take a look at www.webhostingjury.com, many hosts listed with many reviews. Goodluck in your search.

I read very good reviews about BlueWho on this forum. If your problem is with mail not arriving, then it is possible that the sender's servers have been blocked by either SpamCop or Outblaze (not the server you are using). What I usually do then is try to send emails coming from Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, AIM, and any others I can test. If they all come in fine, then generally, there should be no problem with the server. However, you can only confirm that if you can ask your customers for sample emails from those who are saying that they can't send mail to them. Unless you try and work with BlueWho to find out why this is happening, moving to another host for the reason you state may not be a good idea. That is to say, make sure that BlueHost has something to do with the problem before moving on. Also, it won't help at all unless you can give BlueWho a sample of an email that supposedly bounce back. That's not so easy to get because they are not from your customers, but from your customers' customers. Now if you can re-produce it yourself, then that's very easy. If you can create a temporary email address on one of the hosting accounts you have at BlueWho and request some friends to email to it (PM me, I can send you mails from 8 different reseller account), then you can find out for yourself. Mail is always tricky. There are so many factors involved. P.S. You can use this link to check if a server is blocked. Just replace it with your IP address: http://www.spamcop.net/w3m?action=ch...p=2x7.4x.1x.1x http://spamblock.outblaze.com/2x7.4x.1x.1x

So you're basically going to leave bluewho because a tech person asked you for your email password to verify the problem? While I'm sure you might be able to find another web host who can perform magical "fixes" for non-verified problems..... I don't understand why you are so willing to give up on a company that you openly admit has "rocked" up until this issue started. Why not just give them your password (change it first if you want), work with them to figure out the problem.. and give them a chance to fix it? ??
