Hi. We have a problem at this time on our reseller account. We cannot receive the emails that sent by our customers (these emails cannot arrive into our mailboxes). Also the emails that we sent don't arrive to recipients. But we don't receive any error message. Also whois scripts don't work on the server(we cannot get the query results. You may try it from http://www.dhcart.com/demo/order.php ). We did not see any error on the server status page of WHM. What is the error according to you?

This is difficult to tell. You need to speak to your hosting company to see it there is anything wrong with the mail services/servers. It is possible that the mail services aren't working correctly yet still up and therefore showing as fine within whm.

Depending on the hosting company and the control panel being used, ask them to tail the log file while sending an email to your e-mail address. Provide to them your credentials (or create a test e-mail address for them to use).

Thanks for your replies. We have reveived the some emails after for hours. The problem looks fixed. But we and our provider could not found where is the error. Also only whois scripts(ours or others) did not work on the server all day long. It was very interesting. Last edited by domaincart; 06-16-2006 at 01:48 PM.

Did your host restart the mail server? They should be able to pinpoint the problem from the logs and if this was the same for all customers on that day, not great that it took 4 hours to sort.
