Reseller hosting need i have found network redux

Posted by ottoman, 03-08-2006, 05:39 PM
Hi I have searched almost 2 weeks for the best reseller hosting but i have not decided yet. network redux seems to good but i have checeked with whois sources they have only for 4 hosted domains. I have asked one question but i did not got the reply so i am just afraid of their support. I need not necessary online support but at least in 24 h reply to my questions. I have at least 50 domains to be hosted. I should be international domain acceptance not only com net org. I have different endings like ch de be nl etc. Could you please suggest a good reseller plan for me. Best regards

Just wanted let you know that one host can't really be called the "best" You just need to find a company that best suits your needs. With any company, your going to read good reviews and bad reviews. Most companies have money back guarantees, so try out a service and if it fits your business model, stay with them!

We recommend Site5 to you. The support is faster than others. The uptime is very good. Also thier costs are inexpensive. We are glad from them.

If you give us a little bit of an idea of how much disc space and bandwidth you need, I might be able to give you a better recomendation. For now, I would say hostgator.com

You cannot judge this number as accurate. Which IP did you search on? resellers, with their own private IP's wont show in this search.. Although Im not personally familiar with this company, Id pretty much guarantee they host more sites then this... Most hosts can pretty much accomodate any most extensions - unless of course they choose not too. However, they may not sell every available extension.. Hope this helps and best of luck with your search...

99% of hosts will be on a dedicated IP address, since they should use a SSL certificate. If you do a whois search on their domain it will only show they host 1 domain, but in fact they could have a hundred servers all having different ips with 50,000 clients. A better method would be to look for reviews.

Not all hosts billing system is on their primary domain - it may be on a subdomain like billing.domain.com or cp.domain.com, etc....

Hi to all I am very happy to have suggestions.Thank you all. First of all i am not sure about space but for at least 50 domains space i have thought it would be like min.15gb and for the bandwith i do not know really what would be the best fit to 50 domains but i have thought min 300 gb. Lets say half of them needs databank. What would you suggest for space and for the bandwith? I have checked also for networkredux but they have 4 hosted domains. I am really confused for it. For example some places i have read they have send 20 emails and account suspended due to spam emails.TOS.I really need a good support and trustable for the future. Greetings

Again, just because http://www.whois.sc/networkredux.com shows there are 4 domains on that IP, it doesn't mean those are all the sites they host. You really cannot draw any conclusions regayding the company's size based on that number.

well if you are planning to do reseller, and already have 50 domains (is that the number of your customers?) Depends on what you/they use them for. On average each domain/customer uses about 5gb space. Anymore would be in the 10 - 15gb range. and as for bandwidth, people are greedy, but never actually use the amount of bandwidth they demand. 1 tb should be more than enough, unless its for media in which, you'll need dedi. 50customers * 5 gb each on average = 250 gb space (more than sufficient if your customers are "Hello world, this is my homepage" customers or "Hello noobs, im leet and this is my gfx site. l8erz"). Bandwidth for 1tb is no problem.

I've been a client (shared hosting) with them for couple of month, uptime has been great. Support ticket is a bit slow but they answered them to my satisfaction (issue resolved)

I would say an average account for reseller hosting would be under 500MB/ site. the majority of the sites I host use around 200 MBs only 1 uses over 1000, and I host a lot of bands, with video, and music downloads, as well as serious businesses with hundreds of pages. We're currently hosting about 75 very diverse sites and we are using 15 GBs of space and under 500GBs of bandwidth, using 2 different provider's reseller accounts. I would also recommend going with smaller plans and a few different reputable providers. All hosts have problems here and there, and it is good not to put all your eggs in one basket, although it would be nice to just give your business to one company and have all your billing in one place, I recommend otherwise.

whois.sc & whois.webhosting.info are both garbage sites when determining your cliental. A lot of people consider them stats to be the know all of everything when in fact they aren't nearly right. Niether of them sites can pick up our anonymous servers (all our servers are anonymous) thus the stats they provide are horribly wrong.
