Unreliable Ace-host.net

I just like to share my story with my experience with ace-host.net. I have purchase their reseller package 1.5 years ago. I was sceptical about the company at first but after talking to the person, they are very helpful and good compare to my previous experince with another hosting company. But still I was careful with their service. I pay them monthly for the reseller package. Everthing went smoothly for 1 year. Hardly any down time and my clients love it. My business expand and I need to expand my diskspace, so I decided to double my diskspace size. Talk to them and finally decided to pay them yearly since the service is at top mark and cheaper if I pay yearly. After two months, server start to crash. Sometime 2 hours and getting more frequent. Since September 2005, the server was down once every week and it takes about 6 hours to 2 days (48 hours!) before it is up again. I was told later in the server has a bad harddisk and they change it for good. Less than a month after changing, the same old problem. At one time in November, the service is down for 3 days. It was up again. Suddenly a week later they have replace the whole server and new IP will be used. I was told nothing about it. No news was announce. Although the company is still exist and is not closed down and/or run my money away, the service really sucks! Now, I have few accounts that disk quota are not showing correctly. Diskspace is shown full but actually it is not so now users are unable to receive emails or access their accounts. I send a technical support ticket on 24 march and till today, it was not fixed, giving excuse, they will look into it. All I can say about ace-host.net support is darn poor! They have a telephone support but each time the recorded message play the sales department mailbox is full. For technical support, please send ticket. Telephone support does not exist at all. Anyone has any experince with ace-host.net, please let me know..

That's disappointing. How much longer do you have on your year term; were you able to get any kind of refund (or are you still going to stay with them)?

If Ace-Host uses cPanel/WHM, there's a known bug with that disk quota issue that they never seem to fix. They have a script which re-calculates it, but it needs to be ran by the host.

Since he opened a support ticket his host should have ran the command and the problem would have been fixed 5 minutes later. I'm pretty sure it runs with cpanel update, so the problem may be else where.

At least it sounds like they were looking into it. It's sad that they didn't reach a conclusion faster, and even more so that they didn't announce the IP change. Or maybe they did but you never got the email? Heh, even if they handled it in a few hours, and we probably would not have seen this thread here...
