Xen domU network problem
Posted by quad3datwork, 06-13-2011, 07:43 PM |
I've deployed many Xen (SolusVM) servers without any problems.
Been working since yesterday trying to get this server to work, but without much success. Just wondering if anyone experienced this before.
(This is the first Sandy Bridge, E3-1230, we are pushing into production. Not sure if this has got anything to do with it. As I've read theres some NIC issues... but NIC is working fine on physical host.)
The problem is domU cannot ping out and can't ping the GW (same as physical host). What's strange is domU can ping the physical host IP fine. All networking profile is matching w/ physical host (except IP, of course). I've checked w/ DC and they are not restricting anything (note here). They are VLAN-ing by physical port. Tested w/ Debian 5 & CentOS 5.
I've tried this w/ standard CentOS Xen. GITCO 3.4 and 4.1. All the same. Just out of ideas here. Anyone got any thoughts? Thanks.

Hi
It would suggest the bridge is not working correctly. have you double checked your settings ?
Also what about MAC address conflicts ?
Thanks

can you try disabling all offloading features of the NIC using ethtool, just to get that out of the picture.
