Can you disable SSH for Resellers?
Posted by pWh-Kieran, 04-28-2011, 03:19 PM |
Hello,
I'm just after a bit of advice. I would like to disable Resellers creating packages with the ability to choose weather their Shared Web Hosting packages have SSH or not. Is this possible?

Hi
You need to edit the reseller settings for each reseller and remove the SSH option from there privileges.
Thanks

I've made a ACL List called "Default" and set it up in WHMCS that all Reseller Packages are set to the ACL List called "Default"
Within the ACL List, I have unchecked the following:
"Allow Creation of Packages with Shell Access"
But for some reason, it appears WHMCS hasn't passed this information over as it doesn't adhere to the settings I've set in the ACL List.
Any ideas?

Hi
Create something else, like "reseller" and the set that in WHMCS, then test it by setting up an account.
I think default may not be working, also its case sensative in WHMCS and Cpanel

Was the ACL added to WHMCS?

Yeah, it was working. But when I set the ACL List up I missed the checkbox required and if you edit the ACL, it edits it for that certain account rather then globally I think, so I've made a new ACL List.

Ok another question, is it possible to disable SSH/Shell Access for the actual Reseller Account, and if so what do I check / uncheck on the ACL List?
