That KB article has pretty poor english. Basically do the following Open the file /etc/pam.d/plesk_usermng_encrypted in your preferred editior (nano/pico/vi) Find the line which says "password required pam_deny.so" Put a # in front of that line Save the file rus

Maybe you should look into a server management company. These are the very basics. I would not recommend you to learn these things on a production server.

Hi Swiftnoc I know some stuff, however I never edit the file via SSH - putty. I know basics like changing Chmods, Passwords, User etc... Thanks

Hello Honza, What about firewall, security, kernel compile ? a server is not secure out of the box. A experienced server administrator is highly recommended to maintain your production server. A control panel does not do all the work for you.

We got the same issue in Plesk 10.1.1, after a long research we didnt find a good solution that works in 5 vps with the same problem after upgrade from plesk 9.5.2. We do few adjust to passwd and system-auth and it start working properly. We wrote an article in spanish with all related info in http://www.hackingballz.com/articulo...ser/Page1.html We hope that our fix can help to another users. Thank you!
