How can I make sure, my clients never know that I am a reseller and my host

I am a reseller with 2-3 diff hosts. I am using my private name server with 1 of them. Still I found that my clients can find with whom I am hosted or that I am a reseller with such and such company. One way I found out is the information in emails header if emails are send by my client account using mail function of php. The header of the emails contains the detail of host and not of my private name server. I am not sure if this is the case with my host only or everywhere the same thing will happen. I want to know how can I avoid the name of my host server in email headers. Further, there could be more ways to find out the above information. I just want to know the ways to find out and if I can avoid those.

1. Dnsreport.com. Some hosts don't hide the DNS properly. 2. Whois on the anonymous domains and mail servers 3. http://webhosting.info/

Hi, What's the problem of being a reseller. Just like travel agents, they don't need to have their own aeroplanes.

I am a reseller too. To be honest if those people are that bothered about searching out who you are and what your doing they are probably not the kind of customers you want anyway. As its been said previously its like having your own airline without owning the planes! As long as your costs are right and you deliver on uptime and support they shouldn't care less. What should matter is what standard of customer experience they receive not how you achieve it.

I am a reseller as well, but I'll say what has been said to me. Being a reseller means you're not a real company according to some. Apparently because you don't have enough 'investment' nor 'experience' to run your own server, you are to be looked down upon. As pathetic as this is, it still is said a lot. I'm a reseller and am proud of it.

I dont see a problem with a reseller, if people complain its the type of bussiness you just dont need, There is no way to totally hide yourself, what if a user asks to be put on a reseller?. So you know there no real way to sheald yourself, i like the travel agent gig, so next time your booking your holidays just say i dotn want to book with you your just a reseller for so and so, Until your big enough a reseller is fine.

If you are a reseller, then the best method to hide your identity as a reseller is : 1) Go for private nameservers especially with dedicated IP's with reverse dns set for those IP's to your hostname. Many hosts provide his feature and you can request them for the same. 2) Have your main domain on a dedicated IP with reverse dns set for that as well. This will totally hide your hosts identity and your identity as well as a reseller.
