Host complains about database abuse - can't find problem

Hi, I'm hosting a discussion board (phpBB3) with At&T and this is what I got from their "support": They can't explain what the problem is and I'm lost. Please help.

Maybe to many mysql connections?

It is not unusual to see brief spikes in CPU usage associated with mysqld, so the output that they provided to you is hardly conclusive. You should ask them to provide you with the output of "SHOW PROCESSLIST" while the problem is supposedly occurring. That may be useful to help you narrow down what the problem may be, if one really does exist. You should also consider reviewing your web logs around the time that they claim there was an issue.

what part of it is "abusive"? Is it the cpu usage, or some other problem?

This is all they've sent, and not answering my follow-up questions.

Change of host then, not because their service is not enough for your site, but what would happen whenever you need support from them?

It was CPU usage. But all they sent is what I've posted. I have a suspicion this happened on the day I was re-indexing my search from the ACP. I don't expect support from my hosting providers - you know better what kind of support you usually get. And yes, I already started looking for a new host yesterday.

well seems to be you are bothering people who are hosted at the same server because of mysql high load so what i would like to suggest is to order a small 10$ a month vps for mysql only i think this will resolve your problem

I'll check if I'm capable of using a remote MySQL (I'm no programmer myself - just like the host guys). This is what I've received from them:

Thanks, guys, for your thoughts and suggestions. Note taken. You are the best.

If tech support can't help you narrow down an issue, or do any support regarding something as simple as mySQL, switch hosts.
