Bad experience with platinumservermanagement also known as PMS
Posted by leo1977, 11-25-2010, 05:33 AM |
I want to share my bad experience with platinumservermanagement.com. They are very rude and unprofessional. I signed up for an account and only after I paid they let me know that it takes 24 hours just to activate your account. I only asked their rep why so slow and that I need the servers sooner if possible. The next day they sent me an email and refused to create an account because I asked the sales person...
If it takes 24 hours just to create an account, I can't image how long it will take them to solve a real issue. I had several servers so if I have to wait 24 for each server... unacceptable
Is there another company that offers similar services?

So they lied to you? They promised that they will activate your account instantly, upon subscription?
Did you read the TOS and SLA before sign up?

I did not say they lied. I only said that as a regular user I did not see anywhere saying it will take 24 hours to just activate your account

First, please note that this is regarding pre-sales issue only. Your account was never setup, and no support has been provided to you.
Here's what happened.... You signed up on our web site. After signing up, you were forwarded to a payment page. This page says account activation takes up to 24 hours.
Here's a snapshot of the screen you saw BEFORE paying http://platinumservermanagement.com/paypal.jpg
It clearly states account activation takes up to 24 hours, it is in bold, highlighted in yellow, and larger font than everything else. How can you say you didn't see it?
Anyway, you then clicked the payment link and paid. About 6 hours later, you come on chat insulting us saying that account activation takes too long.
So based on this, we refunded your payment and cancelled your signup later that same day (not the next day as you said in your first post here). You then replied threatening that you were going to bash us on all the forums. Here's your first email:
Then a few hours later you send us an apology letter.
After insulting us, threatening us, and bashing us on WHT, sorry but we are not going to setup your account.
Again, this is a pre-sales issue, no support has been provided to you, no account has been setup for you. Sales emails and signups are not handled by technicians, therefore are no reflection of the quality or speed of our support service.
Bottom line: Our site clearly says it takes up to 24 hours to activate your account and then you complain 6 hours later that it is taking too long. This is a pre-sales issue, it doesn't matter how long it takes, this is not any reflection on the speed of support as this is not handled by the technical support department.

Exactly where on your website says that it takes 24 hours for account set up? I would never register an account and pay if I knew it takes 24 hours just to set up an account...
Why I had to wait over 24 hours for you to send me an email that you will not service my server... That was crucial timing for me
Bottom line, your service is a joke and I would not recommend it to anyone!
I am not replying or arguing anymore in this thread. Whoever is interested in such service can make the conclusions...

Here's a snapshot of the screen you saw BEFORE paying http://platinumservermanagement.com/paypal.jpg
It clearly states "Account activation can take up to 24 hours.". It is in bold font, it is highlighted in yellow, and it is in a larger font than everything else on that page.
Again, this is shown BEFORE you pay. If this activation timeframe was not acceptable to you, then you should not have paid and cancelled the signup. It's that simple.

Leo PMS has shown you exactly where is says how long the service takes to activate.
Next time maybe ask nicely and politely and you may just get some help, another table turned on a customer that is in the wrong.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but PMS is at fault here. Their site says it can take "up to 24 hours", not "after 24hours" so the client wasn't at fault to talk to them after waiting 6 hours for his service.
I have dealt with PMS before as well and can confirm they're rather rude and unprofessional.
@ServerManagement, if you want to be in this game then I suggest you start by treating your clients with respect and dignity. Learn to put your clients needs before your own. You do offer a client related service, don't you?
@leo1977, I've seen many rude and arrogant suppliers in this industry who think they own everyone on the internet and will walk right over you if you as much as say a word to them. Now is the time to move on, PMS doesn't deserve your business or your money.

hi,
No psm is not at fault here. The snapshot cleary shows it might take upto 24 hours to activate your account.I guess they use this timeframe to verify payments (eg somebody paid with a stolen creditcard).I also think leo_1977 is wrong here you should never under any circumstance insult people who you want help from... trying to damage there reputation is also a sign off bad attitude but on the other hand i can understand you are under stress if you have to setup much servers but yelling and insulting won't get you anywhere.I have dealed with psm in the past and never had a problem with them

SoftDux, you miss the point here. We have no problem with someone inquiring as to the status within the 24 hours activation period. The problem is that they were insulting us and complaining that the account activation took too long when it had only been 6 hours so far. Since our page clearly states account activation takes "up to 24 hours", they have absolutely no standing to complain in 6 hours that it is taking too long, and furthermore there is no excuse to be insulting.

Sorry to ask but where did you see me insulting them? I asked why so slow and why it takes 24 hours after already waiting 6 hours. I don't think this is an insult? Do you?
I was waiting for their 24 account creation on the next day and hoping to start working on the server when I received the email refusing the service.
Just for your information credit card verification process takes couple of hours

No asking that question is not an insult but he mentioned you insulted them why would he lie about that? the fact psm refuses to provide there service to you is something you'll have to accept nothing todo about it
