i heard some not good news about tomsyer's support, but it is for a dedicated users.
how about tomsyer's reseller plan.
do you experience the same with resellers or how many of you have the same problems with a reseller plan with them?

I have one word to sum them up:
Slow!
But they are very reliable and when they finally answer support tickets their staff are extremely helpful.
They also perform reboots extremely fast.
I know this is for dedicated servers, but it is just an example, they are slow, but they are helpful.
So if you can put up with the ultra-slow speed of their support, then you should be fine

I believe support and service has to be the same way when it comes to Dedicated or Reseller Hosting.

Here's my experience.
I averaged 3-4 tickets a month with TomSyer on my Semi-Dedi account. None of those tickets where answered in a timely manner. The last ticket I had was left open for over 27 hours. I contacted Tom outside of their helpdesk after my server was down for the aforementioned 27 hours and he fixed the problem in 15 mins. Seems the abuse team at the datacenter mis-identified my server as one that they were having abuse issues with. Their support sucks.. Tom seems like a good guy but I think he's in over his head.
I moved from TomSyer to PowerVPS and couldn't be happier. Even though for the same account size it's twice as much. You get alot more control over the server with a VPS and I can now sell reseller accounts. The first and only ticket I've had open with PowerVPS was to get my ClientExec license and it took all of 6 mins.
Also, I just recieved my last bill from TomSyer and it appears it's now called AssertiveHost. I hope it's a smooth transition or just a name change. I have a feeling any more bumps in the road will lose Tom even more clients. I wish Tom well and I hope he gets his support department built up. I just can't wait for that to happen anymore.

AssertiveHost seems to be cheaper than Tomsyer, but ya if he can get a better support team it would be awesome.

I actually have not heard anything about Tomsyer's reseller plans on these forums (might be something to round out the services they offer). I have heard that things get a little slow when they are under unbelievable pressure - which is alright by me. Except that, if it seems that way *all* the time, they really ought to be hiring more people!
