.mov format missing in ffmpeg

i have 4 servers with FFMPEG installed and up-to-date. however when i run "ffmpeg -formats" i do not see .MOV and therefore .MOV uploads do not convert to FLV when uploaded. what do i run to allow MOV file formats??
