Re-compile apache , to newer version !!!

Hello guys, I have compiled apache 2.2.0 with basic modules in certain location. Now I need newer version2.2.9. Is it possible to recompile apache to bring it to newer version. If so how?? thanks in advance.

Download the newer version of Apache and compile it as you did for 2.2.0.

Current release is 2.2.14 I believe, which is what I'm running on my clusters. Recompiling Apache isn't really that complicated.

Just be sure that you have the backup's of the old configs for safety.

2.2.15 just got release today.
