Hi, i hope use utf-8 to store more words and provent scramble, but for some reason, my homepage can not use utf-8 and need to use my country character, now, i hope my mysql database can store all the datawell, if some days later,i want to change my homepae's character set to utf-8, i hope the old data are still readable, by the way, how can i do ? i check phpmyadmin shows "MySQL charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)" of my account, about "MySQL connection collation",i need to choose utf-8 ? or my country character ? thanx

To change the character-set, edit the /etc/my.cnf file and place the following line and restart the mysql service You can verify the change by executing the command: BTW, it won't corrupt your data.
