advise for new reseller host

Posted by sirrom, 02-11-2004, 07:30 PM
I was a happy customer for Ventures Online for more then 2 years. But they are letting me down on different issues. I hate leaving them because they were my #1 provider. But on everything comes an end, I guess. So, I start where I left before: HERE... Looking and comparing for new host. I am a reseller and looking for an advize. I wanna be sure that my new host has his own TOC and don't wanna end up with another 1 person's reseller. Who can advize me about good Shared Virtual Private Host providers? BTW.. I am not looking for cheap but for stable en fast turn arounds on helpdesk. Just for the record: Ventures Online might still be #1 for many of you and in that case I am looking for # 2 Just in case I need them... Who are the best at this moment?

VO have always been quite stable more so with the latest move into the new datacenter, I'd wait it out and see how stable they stay as their support has always been top notch as well!

My main concern is to find a backup host in case I need to leave VO. There are no technical issues but as a reseller I need quick responses with a helpdesk. The support used to be more then excellent: never waited longer than 1 hour for a sollution or respons. Now questions take days to be answered. And my questions are only partly answered. I hate that. There is no way I can get them on the phone either. Whenever I call, I get an answering machine. Support in any way has drastically go down. But nobody really answers my question What good host(s) can be advised? I didn't check WHT for more then 2 years because I was allways very pleased with VO Please mention some names of good alternatives... I need 3 GB, bandwith 20/40 Gb and compleet control over sold domains in a shared VPS envirement. Money is not really an issue but should not be more then $50
