hi, just want to know how will i change the default cpanel access point (http://mydomain.com/cpanel) to (http://mydomain.com/anynameofcpanel) i want to do this for my main resellerdomain account only. so that those clients who are playful wont try and guess my username and password in my resellerdomain.com my clients will still access their cpanel using the default access point.

Try to edit your httpd.conf and look for these entries: ScriptAlias /cpanel /usr/local/cpanel/base/redirect.cgi ScriptAlias /whm /usr/local/cpanel/base/whmredirect.cgi {edit}: Opps I read the first line and went from there, this change would be server wide. A possible way to do what you want is to have your host create a symlink to: /usr/local/cpanel/base/redirect.cgi

This shouldn't matter if you use a proper password rather than something rediculous that's going to be guessable.

Well then you realise people wont be able to use yourdomain.com/cpanel while they are waiting for their domain to resolve? So they will have to wait 1/2/3 days to access their account, unless you give them IP/username but that would defeat the object of disabling yourdomain/username

This really is not possible unless you're running the server yourself. Even if /cpanel wasn't an alias, your clients would still be able to go to http://yourdomain.com:2082 It's not really a big deal - most CPanel hosts have the CPanel login available via their main domain. It doesn't mean they're resellers
