Support for users

When my users need support... what do I do? Do I forward them to my reseller hosts address or do I give them the support?

You're supposed to provide the support. That's a major part of the job description.

You provide support to your client. If you don't know how then you forward that to your provider.

Hi there,
If you are an affliate reseller, you should forward the clients to your provider for technical support.
If you purchased a reseller account from your provider, you should provide your own technical support.

Hey, if your host will provide them with the support why not?
Then again, hosting cost money, and customer support is figured in that cost... so unless your host company says they will provide the support for your customers it seems to me that you should. Then again, talk to your hosting company and ask if they will provide the support... maybe you can work out a deal or something.
I may be off base here, but why would you offer hosting and you don't know what is going on?
Hosting is not a part-time business... it is a 24/7 animal that needs to be feed 24/7 to remain healthy.

That is exactly right, if you can' at least answer most of the questios customers will ask, you need to look for another "field", web hosting really isn't a cash cow or anything, in fact, I think I used to make more money mowing lawns than I do on hosting alone today.

Oh, I didn't start selling the hosting yet. I got a lifetime reseller account waiting to be used. I just want to be prepared before I get customers - don't want to end up like a deadbeat host.

Ah what?!?!?!
If you think you have lifetime reseller account, think again!!!
Sometimes you need to think about things and ask yourself
"is this too good to be true" and in the case of 'Lifetime hosting'
it most certainly IS!!

for life
What they actually mean by for life is until they go out of business in 2-3 months.

Lifetime ??? Not a good sign...
Regarding support, if it is something you can advice or accomplish then do it rightaway, if you do not know as well then ask your parent company and pass on the information to your client accordingly.

Greetings Sharif,
Heh.
Knowing you a little I need to make a suggestion. Take it for what it is worth--
Don't even THINK about reselling
When someone is in college..that needs to be his or her priority.
So what do you do when you are in college AND need money ?
In your case you have some php and graphics skills. Use them.
If I were you (actually if I wereyou--I would do..Excactly..what you are doing...so what I mean is..if you were me..but in your situation;-))
I would develop a fully easy to customize PHP gaming comunity webite.
I would have a sample site up and two or three "designs" that could be used
I'd offer the entire package and set up..for a particular price..
and with customized graphics for a particular price.
I make this suggestion because that is what you have experience creating..
You don;t have a lot of time..so a product you create ONCE and modify would be a lot faster than responding to different ads and trying to figure how to do them
and you won't have customers like me frustrated with you because you take forever and don't get things done (hint hint)
Your Javascriptless friend,
