Small issue with Debian 5
Posted by stealthx, 08-15-2009, 04:31 AM |
I was just wondering, I also have a debian 5 and ubuntu server. On the ubuntu server, packages were downloaded at a much quicker speed.
Both my server are located in the US. Would it be advisable to change the repo for the debian 5 server to that of a US source (from Germany)?
EDIT: currently its connected to ftp.de.debian.org

Do:
apt-get install netselect-apt
netselect-apt -n -s lenny
And:
cp sources.list /etc/apt/
